As a Durham Alliance Outreach board member, you play a crucial role in steering our organization toward fulfilling its mission and vision. Your responsibilities include:

• Decision Making: Participate actively in board meetings where you will make strategic decisions that shape the future of our organization.

• Oversight: Ensure the organization adheres to its values and legal requirements while maintaining financial and ethical integrity.

• Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador for Durham Alliance Outreach, advocating for our causes and building relationships that benefit the organization.

• Fundraising: Engage in and lead fundraising efforts to secure our initiatives' financial health and sustainability.

• Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing personal and professional development to enhance your effectiveness as a board member.

Expectations of Conduct

• Attendance: Attend and participate in all scheduled board meetings and committee meetings relevant to your role.

• Preparation: Come prepared to discuss agenda items, having reviewed all relevant materials distributed before meetings.

• Collaboration: Work cooperatively with fellow board members and management, respecting diverse viewpoints and working collectively towards consensus.

• Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information about the organization.
