To lead and represent Durham Alliance Outreach effectively, ensuring that the board and organization adhere to their missions and strategic goals.
Chair board meetings and ensure effective governance practices.
Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization.
Oversee the implementation of the board’s strategies and policies.
Liaise with external stakeholders to enhance the organization’s public profile.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the submission of reports from all directors to the secretary a week before board meetings to ensure their inclusion in the agenda.
Make executive decisions within the scope of board-approved policies.
Approve expenditures within the budgetary constraints set by the board.
Reports directly to the board of directors.
Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of the organization’s mission and the broader nonprofit landscape.
