Durham Alliance Outreach Board of Directors through the Vice-President
Lead the Entertainment Committee in fulfilling its purpose and achieving its goals.
Schedule, organize, and chair committee meetings.
Set the agenda for each meeting in collaboration with the Committee Secretary.
Plan and coordinate entertainment activities at Club 717, including drag queen performances, private events, fundraising events, and new entertainment events.
Develop a comprehensive schedule that aligns with Club 717’s overall calendar and strategic goals.
Ensure all necessary resources and logistics are in place for successful execution.
Maintain open communication with all performers and stakeholders.
Work closely with other committee members, providing guidance and support.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the committee.
Address entertainment issues that arise and escalate them to the Board of Directors when necessary.
Ensure a positive experience for all involved in entertainment events.
Promote entertainment events to enhance engagement and attendance.
Develop marketing strategies and materials to support event promotion.
Reporting
Prepare a detailed monthly report for the Board of Directors, detailing activities, event status, planning updates, and any significant issues or developments.
Ensure committee members receive appropriate training and support.
Promote ongoing learning about best practices for event planning and entertainment management.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Experience in event planning and management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage positively with performers and stakeholders.
Reliable and punctual attendance.
Attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate reports.
Team-oriented attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
One year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
Initial training on event planning, communication, and reporting procedures.
Ongoing support from the Board of Directors and other committee members.
